Dear Colleagues,
Following the election process that took place in April 28, 2008, the Executive Committee of the Turkish Society of Immunology started its activities with a team comprising of Prof. Dr. Gunnur Deniz; Prof. Dr. Dicle Guc; Prof. Dr. Selim Badur; Prof. Dr. Barbaros Oral; Assist. Prof. Gaye Erten, Assist. Prof. Ishak Ozel Tekin, Assist. Prof. Tunc Akkoc. The aim of the Executive Committee in the period of 2008-2010 is summarized below:
Our webpage will be revised for a second time to ensure better communication amongst members of the Society. In this manner all the activities of the newly established working groups will be announced through our webpage. To get actively involved in one of these groups please contact the group leaders given below.

We still have problems in finding articles to be published in the "Journal of Turkish Immunology". We are getting in contact with some professional publishers to solve this problem and will share the progress through the webpage.
Our Society is organizing the “2nd Mediterranean Clinical Immunology Meeting” to be held on October 4-7, 2008 in Antalya Papillon Ayscha Hotel. You might find the program and all the information at the webpage http://www.clinicalimmunology2008.org. We would be pleased to welcome you in Antalya.
Our last basic immunology course took place in Van with the collaboration of the Yuzuncu Yil University. The next course is going to be organized in another city, the final decision for the city will be announced soon. We would be pleased hear your suggestions for the place of that organization.
The next National Immunology Congress, arranged by the Turkish Society of Immunology biannually, is also going to be organized in 2009.
Following the “1st Turkish-American Cytometry Workshop” held in Istanbul University in November 2007, the second of the workshop is planned to take place in 2009 at Marmara University, Istanbul.
